You were slowly walking around the streets of a Grecian village, looking at the relaxed scenery with your close friend Heracles. The thing is, you've liked the sleepy greek for so long, but you were too afraid to ask him out, by fear of rejection. Luckily you were good at hiding your feelings, only blushing if he ever got intimate with you, which, considering he mostly slept the day or was doing some excavations was never. Plus, the times you would hang out with him never showed a good opportunity for you to confess, since he was either sleeping or some cats came by because he somehow had pheromones that attracted felines. Because of all those obstacles, you were pretty sure that it meant that the two of you were meant to only be friends.

As you slowly broke out from your thoughts, you continued to once again gawk at the greek scenery. The village pretty much defined calmness with its beautiful grecian architectural houses, that were all painted white or were at the very least a color white that had slightly darken over time. There was a beautiful and clear river separating the village you were strolling and another village on the other side. It was only morning, barely even lunch time and the weather was perfect, not too sunny not too cloudy, making the village seem even more peaceful. The light emitting from the sun made the white walls and houses shine brightly, as if you were walking around in a dream-like area, and as you were walking on the sidewalk that was near the river, it only made the water look amazingly dazzling where you could see a clear reflection of yourself.

"Wait a second… Where's Heracles?" You thought, as you didn't see your greek friend's reflection in the water.

You look back where you had just walked, to see Heracles happily petting stray cats that came out of nowhere. Under the morning sun, you could feel your face turning red at the cute sight. Heracles was petting the cats and gently smiling at them, trying to stifle a yawn, while an orange cat with a white spot on his ear was sneakily climbing on top of your friend's head to rest. It didn't take long for your sleepy friend to doze off, with cats around him, and as they followed his example, they fell asleep as well. Usually at times like these you would be slightly annoyed, since it was pretty hard to wake him up afterwards and you would have to somehow drag him somewhere where it was safe to sleep without being disturbed or bothering anyone else. Luckily for you, he ended up sitting on a bench as he dozed off. You desperately wanted to give him a kiss, but you were worried that he would wake up and Heracles always knew when you were lying about something.

So instead, you looked at the shops near the area, thinking it may be best to distract yourself while he was sleeping. You fortunately saw a white house that was actually some sort of shop. Silently, to not wake up the greek, you entered the house. Immediately you were hit by the scent of freshly brewed coffee. Walking a bit closer, you noticed the 'shop' had a very home-feeling to it. There were clean wooden circular tables with wooden chairs that had hand-made cushions on them, little lamps on the table, a shelf with books, and a radio on a counter playing classical music and of course in the back of the room were counters that had coffee and a display of greek pastries. You were just about to buy some pastries to eat when an old lady suddenly appeared from the other side of the counter.

"Hello there my dear." She said amiably.

"Hi…" You greeted a little surprised.

"So it seems you would like to buy something?"

"Yup! I was wondering how much the [insert (greek) pastry] cost?"

"It cost three euros my dear." She replied.

"Oh alright, I'll take two." You handed over the money and received the pastries.

"Oh I forgot to mention!" She exclaimed, and then continued, "We have a certain special today!"

"And… that is?" you asked, genuinely curious.

"Today, well actually every Saturday, my little café-bistro here, offers coffee reading to the customers. I am actually quite talented when it comes to coffee reading." She replied proudly in a sweet voice.

"Oooh sounds interesting, how much?"

"A coffee only cost two euros here." She said sweetly.

"Wow! How is there no one here then?" You asked incredulous.

"Oh this place gets pretty popular, but it's still too early for my regular customers to arrive." She replied.

"Well, I'd like to have my fortune read." You said as you handed her two euros.

"Alrighty, it will only take a few moments for me to brew my special divination coffee so just take a seat over there dear." She said as she pointed towards one of the tables.

Nodding, you went to the table she directed to and sat. While she brewed the special coffee, you ended up eating the two pastries while waiting. Eventually the coffee was ready and the old lady sat on the chair opposing to you. Handing you the coffee, she told you to just enjoy the drink and open your mind, not literally of course, and after you were finish drinking to give it back to her so she can tell you a prediction of the sort. After finishing the delicious coffee, you gave back the empty cup to her. The old lady stared at it for quite a while and you feared what was in store for you, but then you notice a knowing smile gracing the old lady's face.

"Uhm… So what are you predicting?" you asked unsurely.

"Well, my dear, it seems today you'll be receiving a heartfelt confession from someone you love." She said gleefully.

"W-w-what?!" You yelled shocked.

"Yes, yes, from the coffee I see that you will have a boyfriend today." She answered in a singsong voice.

"Uh… okay. Thanks, I'll be leaving now." You answered quickly as you started walking off.

"Oh, my dear, make sure to come back to introduce me to your boyfriend!" She said teasingly as you got out of the café-bistro.

As you closed the door, you heard footsteps approach you. Turning around you came face to face to a panting Heracles. Suddenly, his hands grabbed each side of your shoulders.

"[Name]… There you are! I… was looking… for you… everywhere!" He panted, relieved to see you.

"Oh! Uhm… I'm sorry Heracles for worrying you. I was just drinking some coffee in the café-bistro." You told him.

"Okay, as long as you're safe." He replied after catching his breath.

"Did you know that they do coffee reading?"

"Hmm, yes. Coffee reading is pretty popular here, and extremely accurate."

"A-accurate?" you questioned.

"Yes… the prediction is rarely false."

"Ohh…" you said as your cheeks starting heating up.

"Why?" He asked, as he let go of your shoulders.

"Oh…no reason…" you lied.

"If you don't mind… [name], can we sit on the bench… I was napping on, I'm kind of tired from the running..." He asked slowly, reverting back to his drowsy state.

"Alright." You replied, as he gently took your hand and lead you to the bench.

As both of you sat down, he still hadn't let go of your hand and you felt that he's hand was warm but also sweaty. How long did he run around looking for you, while you were in the café-bistro? You were just about to ask him, when you sensed his head leaning onto your shoulder. He had fallen asleep again.

Sighing, you closed your eyes and dozed off.

*

After a few moments, Heracles woke up and realized that he had leaned onto you when he fell asleep. He sighed at what he had just done, though you probably didn't mind, as you were used to it. He had asked you to take a stroll in the greecian village so that he could confess to you. So when he had woken up from his nap to see that you were no longer there, he was worried that something happened to you, or worse, that you ditched him. Luckily he was worrying for nothing, as you were only relaxing in some café.

Getting up from the bench, he kneeled in front of [name] to stare at your face. To him, you were just as beautiful as the goddess Aphrodite and he was deeply in love with you for the longest time. He wanted to tell you that he liked you, but he never knew when would be the right time.

Gently tucking in a strand of your hair to the side, he carefully placed a sweet kiss on your cheek. Smiling, he wondered what it would be like to kiss your lips, but he would never have his first kiss with you while you sleeping.

"I wish… I could tell you… how I feel about you…" He whispered. Unaware that you had woken up when he kissed you on the cheek.

"H-Heracles?" You stuttered, face turning red.

"…" he said nothing, shocked that you woke up.

"How… do you feel about me?" You asked, hoping that he felt the same way as you.

"I… I… s'agapo." He said in his native tongue.

"Um… Heracles, you know I don't understand greek." You replied, tilting your head to the side in confusion.

"Sorry… I meant… I… love you [name]. For the longest time... I've loved you. ... I never knew when was the right time to tell you, because I was nervous around you... so I would use a cat to distract myself from telling you how I felt. You're as beautiful as the goddess Aphrodite and I'm pretty sure Eros struck me with an arrow... but I'm honestly glad he did." He said after taking a deep breath and before you could tell him you felt the same, he gently pressed his lips on yours.

You were so shocked that he kissed you, that you didn't do anything at all. Just as were going to kiss him back, he pulled away from you with saddened eyes.

"I'm sorry [name], I shouldn't have done that, but I just wanted to know how it felt like. I think I'll leave now, I hope we can still be friends." He said slowly, as he got up and started walking away.

"Wait! Heracles!" You yelled as you got up from the bench to hug his retreating back.

"Huh?" He gently took off your arms as he turned to you, avoiding eye contact.

Not saying a word, you delicately wrapped your arms around his neck to pull him to your eye level, and quickly placed a kiss on his lips.

"I love you too." You confessed, blushing.

After you told him, he smiled and since you were still in the same position, he wrapped his arms around your waist and kissed you.

The kiss was gentle and sweet, like you always expected it to be. It felt like both of you were pouring in your emotions into the kiss, as you could feel the love he felt for you and all the feelings of protection, devotion and warmth. You could practically feel butterflies in your stomach from the kiss and they were bursting from happiness. Right now, you didn't care if anyone saw the two of you kissing outside, near the glowing river and the beautiful clear sky.

Maybe all this time, your thoughts were wrong, and maybe just maybe you two were meant to be. If you weren't, you would wonder why the kiss was so special to you, that you never felt this way towards anyone else. It just felt so…perfect. Being with Heracles right now, with him holding you tight and kissing you sweetly, you thought that he might just be the only one you would ever need.

As you both pulled away from lack of air, you wanted to badly re-connect your lips to his when Heracles spoke.

"I… forgot to ask… will you be my girlfriend?"

"Of course!" You smiled, as he pecked your lips.

"Great…" He said slowly, still holding you.

"Heracles?"

"Mmm?"

"You were right, coffee predictions are rarely false." You exclaimed as you smiled joyfully.

"Oh… what do you mean? He asked curious.

"Hehe, nothing." You giggled as you hugged him.

"So, should we go on a date right now?"

"Alright! I know just the place…"

When Heracles released you from the hug, you held his hand and lead him to the café-bistro. As he gave you another kiss, the both of smiled and entered the place.

"Hey! I know I just recently came in, but I wanted to introduce you to my boyfriend!" you exclaimed excitedly to the owner.
